To: Parties to Retail quality of service rate adjustment plan and related issues, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2003-3

Re: Request for consolidated list of quality of service indicators and standards

This letter is in response to telephone calls received by Commission staff from certain parties to Retail quality of service rate adjustment plan and related issues, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2003-3, 27 March 2003 (PN 2003-3) requesting a consolidated list of the quality of service indicators and standards for residential and business customers referenced in the PN. The parties indicated that a consolidated list of quality of service indicators and standards prepared by Commission's staff would facilitate the preparation of submissions and would also ensure that parties were considering the same list of indicators and standards in the preparation of submissions.

On the CRTC web-site, parties will find a consolidated list of the quality of service indicators and standards related to PN 2003-3, for the purpose of facilitating the preparation of submissions by the parties. It is most important, however, that users of this list note that this list is not an official Commission document. It has been prepared as a convenience only. The determinations on indicators and standards set out in the Commission's decisions on Quality of Service, for services to residential and business customers, remain the Commission's final determinations in these respects.

These decisions are:

Subject to these considerations, it is open to all parties to use the List of Quality of Service Indicators and Standards for use with PN 2003-3, as they deem appropriate.

Yours sincerely,
