Application for relief from subsection 17(1) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations

1.

The Commission approves the applications by Rogers Cable Inc. and Rogers Cablesystems Ontario Limited to be relieved, by condition of licence, of the requirement, under subsection 17(1) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations, to distribute CFMT 'too' (OMNI.2) on the basic band of their cable distribution undertakings, provided it is distributed as part of the basic service.

2.

The licensees proposed to place the OMNI.2 service on channel 14 in the Greater Toronto Area systems and on channel 15 in the Erin/Caledon, Grand Valley and Orangeville systems.

3.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with these applications.
