CKDV-FM Prince George - New transmitter in MacKenzie

1.

The Commission approves the application by Radio Station CKPG Limited to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CKDV-FM Prince George in order to operate a transmitter in MacKenzie.

2.

The new transmitter will operate at 1240 kHz with a transmitter power of 1,000 watts.

3.

The Commission notes that the above-mentioned transmitter is presently licensed to the applicant as a radio programming undertaking with the call sign CKMK. The applicant indicated that the station has ceased to originate programming and will, instead, be used to retransmit the programming of CKDV-FM on a full-time basis.

4.

The applicant further requested the revocation of the licence for CKMK upon approval of the current application. Accordingly, the Commission has revoked the broadcasting licence issued to Radio Station CKPG Limited for the radio programming undertaking CKMK in Revocation of licence, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2003-496, also published today.

5.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.
