Administrative renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licences for the following undertakings from 1 September 2003 to 31 August 2004, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences.

The applications for the licence renewal of these undertakings have not been received by the Commission. If the licence renewal applications for the radio programming undertakings have not been received by 31 August 2003, and the licence renewal applications for the other types undertakings have not been received by 30 November 2003, the Commission may not renew these licences further.

Pursuant to The CRTC Streamlines Radio Renewals Process, Broadcasting Circular CRTC 2002-448, 7 June 2002, the licensees of radio programming undertakings may file their licence renewal applications using the Abridged Application to Renew a Radio Programming Undertaking Licence form CRTC 108E.

The licensees of television programming undertakings may file their licence renewal applications using the Application to Renew a Broadcasting Licence for a Television Programming Undertaking form CRTC 100E.

The licensees of radiocommunication distribution undertakings (radio transmitters) may file their licence renewal applications using the Application to Renew a Broadcasting Licence for a Radiocommunication Distribution Undertaking (RDU) form CRTC 117E, while the licensees of radiocommunication distribution undertakings (subscription television (STV)) or multipoint distribution systems may file their licence renewal applications using the Application to Renew a Broadcasting Licence for a Distribution Undertaking form CRTC 123E.

The Commission encourages the electronic filing of applications. All the above-noted forms can be found on the CRTC web site by selecting "Application Forms" under "File or Register" and can be submitted to the Commission by using the "Electronic Application Submission Form".

This decision does not dispose of any substantive issue that may exist with respect to the renewal of these licences. Interested parties will have an opportunity to comment at the appropriate time.
