Distance charges for local channels |

The Commission received an application by Sogetel inc. (Sogetel), dated 11 June 2002, to amend General Tariff item 2.6, Local Distance Charges, in order to modify the rates for local circuits between buildings located on adjacent and non-adjacent property. |

Sogetel proposed monthly rates identical to the rates approved for Bell Canada in Telecom Order CRTC 95-649, 7 June 1995, and those approved for Québec-Téléphone in Québec Téléphone - Development plan for 1995-1999 and revenue requirement for 1995, Telecom Decision CRTC 95-1, 25 January 1995. |

Sogetel stated that the proposed amendments are consistent with the Commission's ruling in paragraph 34 of Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001 (Decision 2001-756). |

The Commission received no comment with respect to the application. |

The Commission notes that in Decision 2001-756, it stated that the rates for services included in the fourth basket, would generally be permitted to increase up to any already approved rate for the same service. |

The Commission finds that the proposed revisions are in accordance with Decision 2001-756. |

7. |
The Commission approves Sogetel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order. |
|
8. |
Sogetel is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes. |
