Further to its Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2002-7 dated 6 June 2002 relating to a Public Hearing which will be held on 12 August 2002 at 9:30 a.m., at the Commission Headquarters, 1 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec, the Commission announces that it will also consider the following: |

Application by LABBE MEDIA INCORPORATED (owned and operated by Rick Labbe and Kerry-Lee Labbe) for the authority to acquire the assets of the radio station CJWA-FM Wawa. |

North Superior Broadcasting Ltd (North Superior) currently owns two radio stations, CFNO-FM Marathon and CJWA-FM Wawa. |
|
The applicant is requesting a licence to continue the operation of the undertaking, upon surrender of the current licence, under the same terms and conditions as the current licence. In this respect, the applicant has indicated that CJWA-FM will no longer be affiliated with Pelmorex Radio Inc. radio network, as it is now broadcasting 100% local programming. |
|
In accordance with the Commercial Radio Policy (PN 1998-41), the applicant has proposed a tangible benefits package representing 6% of the estimated value of the transaction ($165,400). The proposed tangible benefits amounts to $9,924. |

The tangible benefits will be allocated over a 5 year period as follows: |

Application by H.F. DOUGALL COMPANY LIMITED (owned and controlled by Hector Fraser Dougall), on behalf of North Superior Broadcasting Ltd (North Superior), seeking the authority to acquire the effective control of North Superior by purchasing all of its issued and outstanding shares. |

North Superior currently owns two radio stations, CFNO-FM Marathon and CJWA-FM Wawa. |
|
The Commission notes that Labbe Media Incorporated (Labbe Media) filed a concurrent application (2002-0149-2) for the authority to acquire the assets of CJWA-FM Wawa from North Superior. |
|
In this respect, the Commission notes that the application for the transfer of all of the issued and outstanding shares of North Superior is conditional upon the disposition of the assets of CJWA-FM to Labbe Media. |
|
In accordance with the Commercial Radio Policy (PN 1998-41), the applicant has proposed a tangible benefits package representing 6% of the value of the transaction ($600,000). The proposed tangible benefits amounts to $36,000. |

The tangible benefits will be allocated over a 5 year period as follows: |
