CBKST Saskatoon - New transmitters

1.

The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to amend the broadcasting licence for the television station CBKST Saskatoon in order to operate transmitters in Big River, Greenwater Lake, North Battleford, Prince Albert, Spiritwood and Tisdale.

No interventions were filed in connection with this application.

The transmitters are currently owned and operated by CTV Television Inc. (CTV) as CBC affiliated stations. Following negotiations with CTV, the CBC has agreed to purchase the transmitters in order to provide the full CBC English-language television network service to the communities noted above. Residents of these communities will continue to receive CTV's original local programs on CTV owned-and-operated affiliated stations.

The CBC indicated that the transmitters will operate at the same technical parameters, as presently authorized, which are as follows:
