The Commission approves the application by Videon Cablesystems Inc. (Videon) to amend the authority to operate a regional video-on-demand (VOD) programming undertaking, granted in New video-on-demand services, Decision CRTC 2000-736, 14 December 2000, to include the province of British Columbia as part of its service area. |

Videon is currently authorized to provide a French- and English-language VOD service in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta. It is controlled by Shaw Communications Inc. (Shaw), licensee of a number of cable broadcasting distribution undertakings (BDUs) serving communities across Canada. Videon filed the present application in order to offer its VOD service on an integrated basis in communities in British Columbia served by Shaw's BDUs. |
