CBYT Corner Brook is now broadcasting the same full program and commercial stream as CBNT St. John's. This is part of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Presentation Optimization Plan. |

The licensee proposes to decrease the the effective radiated power of its transmitter from 252,000 to 132,000 watts and to move its transmitter to a new site at Mont-Bélair, 32 km west of the existing site. |
||
The licensee wishes to consolidate its transmission services in the greater Quebec region to its new Mont-Bélair site. |
||
The proposed changes would slightly reduce coverage towards the east while coverage to the west would increase by about 40 km in relation to the authorized service contours. |

The transmitter will operate on channel 55 with a an effective radiated power of 4,400 watts. |

The licensee states that the new transmitter will provide coverage to the Côte de Beaupré area and will improve signal quality in the lower part of Quebec City (Petit Champlain). |

The licensee proposes to enlarge its service area to include the Province of British Columbia. It is currently licensed to serve Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta by providing a service in English and French that includes first-run feature films, classic films, children's programming, documentaries, situation comedies, movies of the week, specials, taped concerts and educational programming. |

The proposed amendment will allow the VOD service to be offered on an integrated basis in those communities served by Shaw and former Videon systems, and on other Shaw and former Videon systems that will be interconnected. |
