Public Notice CRTC 2001-125 |
Ottawa, 17 December 2001 |
The Commission has received the following application: |
1. |
Vancouver, British Columbia |
Application by CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION (CBC) to amend the licence of the new French-language radio station at Vancouver, approved in Decision CRTC 2001-313. |
In Decision CRTC 2001-313 dated 5 June 2001, the Commission approved an application by the CBC for an FM radio station in Vancouver, but noted that the proposed frequency 94.5 MHz (channel 233C) was not the most appropriate one to use to fulfil the expectations with regard to provincial coverage of La Chaîne culturelle set out in Decision CRTC 2000-2. The licensee was directed to file an application to amend the new licence, based on the use of a different frequency. |
This application seeks approval for the new station to use the frequency 90.9 MHz (channel 215B) with an effective radiated power of 287 watts. |
