Order CRTC 2001-776 |
|
Ottawa, 22 October 2001 |
|
Northwestel Inc. |
|
NSF cheque charge |
|
1. |
The Commission denies Northwestel's request for a $5 increase in the not-sufficient-funds (NSF) cheque charge. |
2. |
Northwestel noted that the Commission approved a similar amount for an NSF cheque charge in Telecom Order CRTC 94-1249, dated 31 October 1994. |
3. |
The Commission notes that, while a similar increase had been approved in the order, costing information and history of NSF cheque volumes was provided. In TN 764, Northwestel did not provide a cost study to justify the rate increase. |
4. |
Northwestel filed the application on 10 September 2001 to revise items 104 and 105 of its General Tariff. |
