Change in frequency and increase in power |

The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the proposed radio station at Carrot River by changing the frequency from 88.1 MHz (channel 201LP) to 101.1 MHz (channel 266LP), and increasing the effective radiated power from 13 to 15 watts. |

The radio station was approved in Decision CRTC 99-186 dated 29 July1999. |

The technical parameters approved in this decision are for a low-power unprotected FM service. The applicant would have to select another frequency for the operation of the service if required to do so to permit the best use of the frequency band. |

The Commission authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes. |

The Department of Industry has advised that this application is conditionally technically acceptable, subject to determination that there will be no unacceptable interference with NAV/COM services. When the Department has certified that a broadcasting certificate has been or will be issued, the amendment approved in this decision will be valid (section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act). |
