Dear Mrs. Strain:

Application No: 2001-0830-0 - Approved with amendment
Extension of time limit to 18 November 2001 to implement a new television transmitter at Dauphin, Manitoba - Craig Broadcast Systems Inc.

This is further to your request of 5 July 2001, for an extension of the time limit to implement a new transmitter at Dauphin, Manitoba to rebroadcast the programming of CHMI-TV Portage la Prairie, as approved in Decision CRTC 2000-19 dated 19 January 2000.

Please be advised that the Commission approves your request and hereby grants a four-month extension of the time limit, namely until 18 November 2001, which it considers a reasonable delay to complete construction of the project. This extension does not of course, relieve you of your responsibility to implement the transmitter at Dauphin at the earliest possible date.

Should the completion of new installations not be completed within the period stipulated in this letter or, should the Commission refuse to approve an extension requested by the licensee, the licence will not be amended.

As stipulated in Decision 2000-19, the authority will only be effective and the licence will only be amended when the new transmitter is constructed and ready to begin operation. Consequently, the applicant is required to advise the Commission, in writing, once it has completed construction and is prepared to commence operation, at which time, the Commission will amend the licence.

This decision letter is available for public examination at the Commission's central office. The Commission also requires you to append this decision letter to the licence of your undertaking.
