Licence amendment for CHON-FM |

The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CHON-FM Whitehorse (the originating station), by authorizing the licensee to add a transmitter at Aklavik. |

As proposed, the new FM transmitter will operate on frequency 90.5 MHz, channel 213VLP, with an effective radiated power of 10 watts. |

The authority will be effective and the licence will be amended only at such time as: |

The technical parameters approved in this decision are for a low-power unprotected FM service. The applicant would have to select another frequency if required to do so to permit the best use of the frequency band. |
