Decision CRTC 2001-174

Ottawa, 15 March 2001

Lillooet-Camelsfoot T.V. Association
North Lillooet and Pavilion and Fountain Reserves, British Columbia 2000-1278-2

Application processed by Public Notice
CRTC 2001-8 dated 23 January 2001

Addition of service

1.

The Commission approves the application to amend the licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving North Lillooet and Pavilion and Fountain Reserves, by authorizing the licensee to add a transmitter for the distribution, in non-encrypted mode, of CIFM-FM Kamloops. The licensee will distribute the service on the frequency 96.9 MHz (channel 245LP), with an effective radiated power of 19.5 watts.

2.

The Department of Industry has advised the Commission that this application is conditionally technically acceptable. The Department will only issue a broadcasting certificate once it has determined that the proposed technical parameters will not create any unacceptable interference with aeronautical NAV/COM services.

3.

The technical parameters approved in this decision are for a low-power unprotected FM service. The applicant would have to select another frequency for the operation of the service if required to do so to permit the best use of the frequency band.
