The Commission has received the following applications:

 

1.

EDMUNDSTON (New Brunswick)

 

Application (2000-1256-8) by LA COOPÉRATIVE DES MONTAGNES LTÉE, to amend the broadcasting licence of the type B community radio programming undertaking CFAI-FM.

 

The licensee proposes amendments to its conditions of licence pursuant to the Community radio policy, Public Notice CRTC 2000-13. The licensee wishes to replace the programming obligations currently set out as conditions of licence in its Promise of Performance.

 

In accordance with the new policy, the condition of licence restricting advertising will be deleted.

 

The following conditions of licence replace the ones in the current Promise of Performance:

 

- It is a condition of licence that the licensee devote, during each broadcast week, a minimum of 20% of its musical selections to musical selections from content subcategories other than the Pop, rock and dance subcategory (content subcategory 21), as defined in Public Notice CRTC 2000-14, as amended from time to time.

 

- It is a condition of licence that the licensee devote, during each broadcast week, a minimum of 5% of its musical selections to musical selections from Special Interest Music (content category 3), as defined in Public Notice CRTC 2000-14, as amended from time to time.

 

- It is a condition of licence that the licensee devote, during each broadcast week, at least 25% of its programming to Spoken Work (content category 1) which is comprised of News (content subcategory 11) and Spoken Word - Other (content subcategory 12), with an emphasis on community-oriented spoken word, as defined in Public Notice CRTC 2000-14, as amended from time to time.

 

- It is also a condition of licence that the licensee not solicit advertising in the Province of Quebec.

SULLY, Quebec

 

Application (2000-2093-3) by CIBM-FM MONT-BLEU LTÉE.

 

The licensee proposes to add a low-power FM transmitter at Sully to offer the programming of CIBM-FM Rivière-du-Loup to adequately serve the population of the villages of Estcourt and Sully in Témiscouata.

 

The proposed transmitter will operate on frequency 96.7 MHz (channel 244LP) with an effective radiated power of 14.2 watts.

 

The addition of the transmitter will require an amendment to the licence of CIBM-FM.

The licensee proposes to add a low-power FM transmitter at Sully to offer the programming of CJFP-FM Rivière-du-Loup to adequately serve the population of the villages of Estcourt and Sully in Témiscouata.

 

The proposed transmitter will operate on frequency 93.5 MHz (channel 228LP) with an effective radiated power of 18.2 watts.

 

The addition of the transmitter will require an amendment to the licence of CJFP-FM.

Application (2000-1278-2) by LILLOOET-CAMELSFOOT T.V. ASSOCIATION.

 

The licensee proposes to add the programming service of CIFM-FM Kamloops.

 

The signal would be distributed, in non-encrypted mode, on frequency 96.9 MHz (channel 245LP) with an effective radiated power of 19.5 watts.

 

This request would require an amendment to the licence of the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving the above-noted locations.
