1. The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for CHRC Québec, from 1 January 2000 to 31 August 2003, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
2. The licence term granted herein will enable the Commission to consider at an early date the licensee’s compliance with the Radio Regulations, 1986 (the regulations), concerning the broadcast of category 2 Canadian music selections and French-language vocal music.

Based on the licensee's self-analysis for the week of 22 to 28 March 1998, the Commission finds that the licensee failed to comply with sections 2.2(3) and 2.2.(5) of the regulations, as they existed prior to the amendments that came into effect on 3 January 1999. The Commission notes that the licensee has since taken corrective measures.
4. The Commission draws the licensee's attention to its ongoing obligations with respect to category 2 Canadian music and French-language vocal music, under the regulations, as amended.
