REVISED LISTS OF ELIGIBLE SATELLITE SERVICES
  The lists of eligible satellite services appended to this notice have been amended to reflect a number of changes announced herein. These lists supersede the lists appended to Public Notice CRTC 1997-152 dated 22 December 1997.
  Addition of KSTP (ABC) and WFTC (FOX)
  In Decision CRTC 98-17 of today's date, the Commission approved an application by Canadian Satellite Communications Inc. (Cancom) to add the signals of KSTP (ABC) and WFTC (FOX) Minneapolis, Minnesota to the list of signals that it is authorized to distribute. These signals are added to the List of Part 2 Eligible Satellite Services (Section A) and to the List of Part 3 Eligible Satellite Services.
  Addition of Radio-France outre-mer (RFO1)
  In Decision CRTC 98-18 also of today's date, the Commission approved an application by Cancom to add the signal of RFO1 Saint-Pierre and Miquelon to the list of signals that it is authorized to distribute. This signal is added to the List of Part 2 Eligible Satellite Services (Section A) and to the List of Part 3 Eligible Satellite Services.
  Addition of KIRO-TV (IND)
  Finally, in Decision CRTC 98-19 also of today's date, the Commission approved an application by ExpressVu Inc. to add the signal of KIRO-TV (IND) Seattle, Washington to the list of signals that it is authorized to distribute and to Part B of the List of DTH Eligible Satellite Services.
  For the purposes of the List of DTH Eligible Satellite Services, KIRO-TV will be identified as a "U.S. superstation". In accordance with the Linkage Requirements for Direct-to-Home (DTH) Satellite Distribution Undertakings (Public Notice CRTC 1997-50 dated 2 May 1997), this identification will permit DTH licensees to designate and subsequently distribute this signal in a discretionary package that may include one or more Canadian specialty and/or pay television services.

  *** Playboy TV is only authorized for distribution at the specific request of a subscriber. Distributors are not permitted to package Playboy TV in such a way that subscribers are obligated to purchase Playboy TV in order to purchase any other programming service. Distributors are required to take measures to fully block the reception of both the audio and video portions of Playboy TV to subscribers that request it not be receivable in their home (in either unscrambled or scrambled analog form).
  Authorization for the above-noted services is subject to the following:
  - When this List of Part 2 Eligible Satellite Services is replaced by another list of Part 2 Eligible Satellite Services, the only authorized services will be those contained in the most recent list; accordingly, this list supersedes the list dated 22 December 1997.
  - In the case of Cancom signals, ASN, the CBC English- and French-language Television Services and U.S. satellite services, licensees are required to enter into the necessary contractual arrangements for such carriage.
  - Licensees that distribute a PBS signal received at the local head end by terrestrial transmission may distribute one PBS service received from Cancom. All other licensees may distribute a maximum of two PBS services received from Cancom. Licensees may not distribute the signal of more than one affiliate of the same commercial U.S. network, received from Cancom, unless otherwise authorized pursuant to a condition of licence.

  - In the case of out-of-province educational services, there should be no objection on the part of the originating service.
  - In the case of Cancom signals, ASN, and the CBC English- and French-language Television Services, licensees are required to enter into the necessary contractual arrangements for such carriage.
  - In the case of CFTO-TV, CFTM-TV, CFCF-TV, CHAN-TV and CJON-TV, a licensee also distributing the signal of a local TVA or CTV affiliate shall delete the duplicate programming from the Cancom services or substitute the local service(s) when the programming is identical.
  - Licensees that distribute a PBS signal received at the local head end by terrestrial transmission may distribute one PBS service received from Cancom. All other licensees may distribute a maximum of two PBS services received from Cancom. Licensees may not distribute the signal of more than one affiliate of the same commercial U.S. network, received from Cancom, unless otherwise authorized pursuant to a condition of licence.
