Decrease in night-time power for CKEN
|
1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1998-68 dated 16 July 1998, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CKEN Kentville, by decreasing the night-time transmitter power from 1,000 watts to 750 watts.

2. The licensee also proposes a change in the mode of operation from a directional to a non-directional antenna system to improve coverage towards the north.
|
3. The Commission notes that the proposed changes will result in a slight change to the existing authorized service contours.
|
4. The Commission hereby authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.
|
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
