Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1997-14 dated 12 December 1997 relating to its public hearing commencing on 16 February 1998, at the Conference Centre, Phase IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec, the Commission announces the following:
AT THE REQUEST OF THE APPLICANT, THE FOLLOWING ITEM IS WITHDRAWN FROM THE PUBLIC HEARING
Issue No. 1 - Item 21
BONNYVILLE AND FOX CREEK, Alberta
Applications (199712105, 199712112) by NORTHERN CABLEVISION LTD., Suite 200, 4245 - 97 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T6E 5Y7, to amend the broadcasting licences of the (cable) distribution undertakings serving Bonnyville and Fox Creek, as follows:
-  by adding a condition of licence authorizing the distribution, at its option, of KXLY-TV (ABC) and KREM-TV (CBS) Spokane, Washington, received via satellite, as part of the basic service.
If approved, the licensee would cease the distribution of the ABC and CBS services received via satellite from CANCOM.
THE FOLLOWING ITEM IS AMENDED AND THE CHANGES ARE UNDERLINED

Application (199708955) by CENTRAL ISLAND BROADCASTING LTD., 4550 Wellington Road, Nanaimo, British Columbia, V9T 2H3, for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language FM (radio) programming undertaking at Courtenay to serve the Comox-Strathcona Regional District, operating on a frequency of 97.3 MHz (channel 247B), with an effective radiated power of 4,700 watts.
