    Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1997-11 dated 8 October 1997 relating to its public hearing commencing on 15 December 1997, at the Commission Headquarters, 1 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec, the Commission announces the following:
    THE FOLLOWING ITEM IS WITHDRAWN FROM THE PUBLIC HEARING AND RESCHEDULED AT THE PUBLIC HEARING COMMENCING ON 27 JANUARY 1998 AT THE CENTRE DES CONGRÈS DE QUÉBEC, 1000 RENÉ-LÉVESQUE BOULEVARD EAST, QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC (ITEM 26)
    ISSUE NO. 1 - ITEM 11
    VAL D'OR, AMOS AND ROUYN-NORANDA, Quebec
    Application (199708327) by RADIO NORD INC., 171 Jean-Proulx Street, P.O. Box 4010, Hull, Quebec, J8Z 1W5, for a broadcasting licence to carry on a French-language FM (radio) programming undertaking at Val d'Or, operating on frequency 104.3 MHz (channel 282C) with an effective radiated power of 100,000 watts and with a transmitter at Rouyn-Noranda, operating on frequency 98.3 MHz (channel 252A) with an effective radiated power of 862 watts.
    If this application is approved, the licensee will surrender the current licences for CKDV Val d'Or, CHAD Amos and CKRN Rouyn-Noranda.
    The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.
    IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT ONLY THE INTERVENTIONS ALREADY RECEIVED, ACCEPTED BY THE COMMISSION AND FILED ON THE PUBLIC FILE FOR THIS HEARING WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE COMMISSION IN ITS STUDY OF THIS APPLICATION.
