Decision CRTC 96-99
Rogers Cablesystems Limited
Oshawa, Bowmanville and Whitby, Ontario - 942320300
Licence amendment
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-144 dated 22 August 1995, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence of the cable distribution undertaking serving the above-mentioned localities by adding a condition of licence allowing the licensee:
a) to be relieved of the requirement of paragraph 9(1)(c) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 to distribute the priority local service of CHEX-TV Peterborough so long as it distributes CHEX-TV-2 Oshawa; and
b) to substitute, at its option, CHEX-TV Peterborough for CHEX-TV-2 Oshawa whenever the quality of the Oshawa signal is unsatisfactory.
In approving this application, the Commission has taken into account the licensee's commitment that it will only
substitute CHEX-TV Peterborough for CHEX-TV-2 Oshawa when the programming of both stations is identical. |
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
