Radio Fusion inc.
Hawkesbury, Ontario - 952362200
Licence amendment and request for extension of deadline to implement a benefit accepted as part of the transaction approved in Decision CRTC 90-780
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-1 dated 8 January 1996, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CHPR-1-FM Hawkesbury, by reducing local programming from 30 hours to 21 hours per week.
This amendment is consistent with the policy set out in Public Notice CRTC 1993-121 dated 17 August 1993 entitled " Local Programming Policy for FM Radio - Definition of a Single-Station Market ". In accordance with the policy outlined in that public notice, CHPR-1-FM has been identified as operating in a single-station market and may solicit and accept local advertising, irrespective of the amount of local programming it broadcasts.
The Commission also approves the licensee's application to extend to 12 October 1996 the deadline to implement the conversion to stereo of CHPR-1-FM's antenna and production studio.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
