Decision

Ottawa, 28 August 1996
Decision CRTC 96-541
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Fredericton/Saint John and Moncton, New Brunswick - 199603262
Licence amendment for CBAT
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-92 dated 28 June 1996, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the television programming undertaking CBAT Fredericton/Saint John by decreasing the effective radiated power of its transmitter CBAT-TV-2 Moncton from 182,000 watts to 138,900 watts.
The Commission notes that although the coverage area will slightly decrease, the CBC indicated that this decrease will not significantly affect the coverage area of this transmitter.
The Commission authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
