Ottawa, 11 June 1996
Decision CRTC 96-202
Radio & Télévision Communautaire - Havre Saint-Pierre
Havre Saint-Pierre, Quebec - 952249100
Licence renewal
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-13 dated 19 January 1996, the Commission renews the licence held by Radio Télévision Communautaire - Havre Saint-Pierre, for the cable distribution undertaking serving Havre Saint-Pierre, from 1 September 1996 to 31 August 2003.
The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I, III and IV of the Cable Television Regulations,1986 and the licence will be subject to the conditions in effect under the current licence, as well as to those conditions specified in the licence to be issued.
In its renewal application, the licensee proposed to distribute the French-language educational television service operated by TVOntario, TFO. Consistent with Decision CRTC 96-112 dated 25 April 1996 and given TVOntario's intervention in which it opposes the distribution of its service, the Commission denies this proposal.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
