The Commission's Approach to Applications for New Specialty and Pay Television Services
The Commission has received the following application:
ONTARIO REGION
1. COLLINGWOOD, Ontario
Application (951759000) by POWER BROADCASTING INC./DIFFUSION POWER INC., 751 Victoria Square, Montréal, Quebec, H2Y 2J3, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radio) programming undertaking CKCB-FM Collingwood, by relocating the transmitter site 1.4 Km from the site authorized in Decision CRTC 94-627, located to the Southwest of Collingwood and by decreasing the effective radiated power from 520 to 350 watts.
The licensee has indicated that this reduction in power is coupled with an increase in the effective height of the antenna system and as a result, there is no significant change in the authorized coverage area of the station.
