Decision

Ottawa, 11 October 1995
Decision CRTC 95-742
Rogers Cablesystems Ontario Limited
London (part of) and Lambeth, Ontario - 942014200
Addition of WUTV (FOX)
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-39 dated 7 March 1995, the Commission approves the application by Rogers Cablesystems Ontario Limited for authority to delete WJBK-TV (CBS) Detroit, Michigan, received via microwave, as part of the basic service, and to add, at the licensee's option, WUTV (FOX) Buffalo, New York, received via optical fibre and microwave, on a discretionary tier of the undertaking serving the above-noted localities.
This approval is consistent with the amendment to the Commission's policy governing the cable carriage of U.S. network signals announced in Public Notice CRTC 1994-107 dated 29 August 1994.
The Commission notes that it has received an intervention in support of this application.
The Commission acknowledges the interventions received opposing this application, and it is satisfied with the licensee's replies thereto.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
