Decision

Ottawa, 21 September 1995
Decision CRTC 95-687
Télécâble Provincial Inc.
Saint-Guillaume-d'Upton, Saint-Bonaventure and Saint-Eugène-de-Grantham, Quebec - 951364900
Extension of construction deadline
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-119 dated 14 July 1995, the Commission approves the application to amend the licence for the cable distribution undertaking authorized to serve the above-mentioned commu-nities by deleting the existing condition of licence relating to the construction and operation of the undertaking and substituting therefor:
It is a condition of licence that construction of the undertaking be completed and that the undertaking be in operation on or before 31 January 1996.
The Commission notes that this application is the third request for an extension of the implementation deadline. Further, the Commission notes that the licence expires on 31 August 1996. The Commission puts the licensee on notice that should it be unable to complete construction and provide service to these communities before the expiry of the deadline noted above, the Commission may not be prepared to grant a further extension and might reassess how these communities are to be served.
