Attached to this Public Notice are revised lists of "Part II Eligible Satellite Services" (Part II list), "Part III Eligible Canadian Satellite Services" (Part III Canadian list), and "Part III Eligible non-Canadian Satellite Services" (Part III non-Canadian list).
The Part II list (Appendix A) contains satellite services authorized for distribution by licensees holding a Class 1 licence, or a Class 2 licence for an undertaking that has between 2,000 and 6,000 subscribers.
The Part III Canadian and non-Canadian lists (Appendix B) contain satellite services authorized for distribution by licensees holding a Part III licence or licensees holding a Class 2 licence for an undertaking that has fewer than 2,000 subscribers.
Replacement of WJBK-TV (CBS) Detroit, Michigan with WTOL-TV (CBS) Toledo,
Ohio
WJBK-TV Detroit is a U.S. television station currently affiliated with the CBS network. WJBK-TV has announced that it will change its affiliation to the FOX network in the near future. In Decision CRTC 94-897 of today's date, the Commission has approved an application by Canadian Satellite Communications Inc. (CANCOM) to amend its broadcasting licence to carry on a multiple channel television and radio broadcasting distribution undertaking, by replacing WJBK-TV (CBS) Detroit, Michigan with WTOL-TV (CBS) Toledo, Ohio, on the list of signals that it is authorized to distribute.
For an interim period, both WTOL-TV and WBJK-TV will appear on the lists. CANCOM's authority to distribute WJBK-TV will lapse at such time as the distribution of WTOL-TV commences.
For consistency, the attached lists have been amended accordingly.
