Licence amendments
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1994-9 dated 9 February 1994, the Commission approves the applications to amend the licences for the cable distribution undertakings serving the above-mentioned communities, by adding a condition of licence relieving Télécâble Laurentien Inc. of the requirement of section 9 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 to distribute the priority television service CFMT-TV-2 Ottawa, on the basic band (channels 2 to 13), so long as it is distributed as part of the basic service of each undertaking.
The Commission notes the licensee's proposal to distribute CFMT-TV-2 on channel 34 until 31 August 1994 and on channel 14 starting 1 September 1994.
Further, the Commission acknowledges the intervention filed by CFMT International, wherein it states that it supports these applications, so long as CFMT-TV-2 Ottawa is carried below channel 20 and distributed as part of the basic service.
