Decision

Ottawa, 20 July 1992
Decision CRTC 92-473
Câblo Distribution G. Inc.
Gaspé, Gaspé Harbour, York Centre, Wakeham, Sandy Beach, Haldimand, Sunny Bank, Pointe-Navarre, Sainte-Marjorique, Penouille, Cap-aux-Os and D'Aiguillon, Quebec - 920325800
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1992-36 dated 20 May 1992, the Commission approves, by condition of licence, the application by Câblo Distribution G. Inc. to be relieved from the requirement of paragraph 22(1)(a) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 that it distribute the local services of CIVK-TV-3 (SRTQ) and CBVG-TV (CBC) Gaspé in view of the poor reception quality of the signals, as confirmed by the Department of Communications.
Instead, the licensee proposes to distribute these services, received via satellite directly from their mother-station, which will improve the signal quality and will prevent the occasional loss of signal and ghosting interference.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
