Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1992-30 dated 21 April 1992, the Commission approves the application by Le Réseau des sports (RDS) to amend the condition of licence requiring the licensee to charge each cable operator wishing to distribute the French-Language sports specialty service RDS, as part of the basic service, the wholesale rate per subscriber per month as described in the appendix to Decision CRTC 87-898 dated 30 November 1987.
RDS has proposed to replace the current wholesale rate by charging Câblevision Gatineauval Inc. the following combined wholesale rate for the distribution of RDS and The Sports Network (TSN), an English-language sports specialty service, on the basic service of the cable distribution undertaking serving parts of La Pêche and Hull-Ouest (including parts of Wakefield, Farm Point and Chelsea), Quebec:
6. u) The licensee shall charge Câblevision Gatineauval Inc. for the distribution of both RDS and TSN as part of the basic service of the cable distribution undertaking serving parts of La Pêche and Hull-Ouest (including parts of Wakefield, Farm Point and Chelsea), Quebec, the combined wholesale rate of $1.55 until 31 December 1992. The Commission notes that both network licensees have agreed to the proposed rate schedule.
