Radio Waterloo Inc.
Waterloo, Ontario - 900230400
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1991-66 dated 26 June 1991, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CKMS-FM Waterloo by increasing the effective radiated power from 50 watts to 250 watts and by changing the frequency from 94.5 MHz (channel 233) to 100.3 MHz (channel 262).
The licensee has indicated that the power increase and change in frequency will improve service in Waterloo and parts of Kitchener.
The Department of Communications (DOC) has advised the Commission that this application is conditionally technically acceptable, and that an amendment to the Broadcasting Certificate will only be issued once it has been determined that the undertaking's proposed technical parameters will not create any unacceptable interference with aeronautical NAV/COM services.
In accordance with subsection 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment, and the authority granted herein may only be implemented, at such time as written notification is received from the DOC that its technical requirements have been met, and that an amendment to the Broadcasting Certificate will be issued.
