Decision

Ottawa, 15 March 1990
Decision CRTC 90-241
Revelstoke Cable T.V. Ltd.
Revelstoke, British Columbia - 891154700
Following a Public Hearing in Vancouver on 3 October 1989, the Commission renews the licence for the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving Revelstoke, held by Revelstoke Cable T.V. Ltd., from 1 October 1990 to 31 August 1995.
Consistent with Decision CRTC 87-24 dated 14 January 1987, Revelstoke Cable T.V. Ltd. is authorized, by condition of licence, to operate this undertaking as a Part III licensee. Accordingly, the operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I and III of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) and the licence will be subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
In view of the poor quality of the signal, the licensee is relieved, by condition of licence, from the requirement of paragraph 9(1)(c) of the regulations to distribute the local priority service CHKL-TV-3 Revelstoke. The Commission notes that the licensee has indicated that it plans to reinstate the distribution of CHKL-TV-3 once the quality of the transmitter's signal improves.
Fernand Bélisle
Secretary General
