Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1988-205 dated 9 December 1988, the Commission approves the application by Skyline Cablevision Limited (Skyline) for authority to use contra, credit and sponsorship messages, on a special programming channel of the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving the communities noted above, in accordance with section 13 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) when community programming as defined in section 2 of the regulations is being broadcast.
Skyline's request to provide a special programming service to broadcast overflow programming or repeats of its community programming such as city council meetings, local sporting events, and major public events, which was submitted as part of this application, is also approved. This authority is conditional upon the licensee ensuring that all programs to be broadcast on the special programming channel are Canadian-produced, non-promotional in nature, and contain no advertising other than authorized by the Commission.
