Description: TELUS Communications Company (“TELUS” or the “Company”) is in receipt of written comments from several customers in response to its tariff application (“TN-4334”) to withdraw its General Tariff (CRTC 1005) Item 238, V.H.F. Marine Public Radiotelephone Stations in B.C. with an effective date of March 1, 2010. However, TELUS notes that new comments from customers are still being posted on the Commission’s web site.

Description: Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Sites is located in the southern portion of Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands. There is no road access to this protected area; access is only via air or water. Telus currently has two licenses of occupation for its marine radiotelephone repeaters on Burnaby and Kunghit Islands, which are both within the boundaries of Gwaii Haanas.
