Children's programs on 4 Montreal area TV stations (CHLT, CBMT, CBFT and CFCF) were monitored for their compliance with the Voluntary Broadcast Code for Advertising to Children. The number and frequency of commercials violating the code were noted. Suggestions for improvements to the Code are made. Commercials which could be the objects of complaints are identified.
