I want to watch American Netflix. Why did you block it?

We didn’t! We don’t block or restrict any internet content.

Netflix made the decision not to broadcast certain content in Canada.

Why? Companies have to buy the rights to broadcast or stream content. They typically buy these rights from production companies. These production companies can say, “Okay Netflix, we’ll sell you the rights to show this TV show in the USA but not Canada.”

This can happen with any contract negotiation and it’s not within our power to get involved in these negotiations.
