Can I get a paper copy of my monthly phone bill?
Nowadays, most Canadians are used to getting their monthly bills by email or through their service provider’s online account. However this doesn’t work for everyone and some people need their bills in paper format.
All phone and Internet service providers must now provide their customers with a paper bill, upon request and free of charge, if they:
- are 65 years or older,
- self-identify as persons with a disability, or
- do not have access to home internet or mobile data services.
Since services are often bundled together and displayed in a single bill, we expect TV service providers to offer paper bills to these customers as well.
Customers are encouraged to contact their providers and request a paper copy of their bills.
