Subject: Saskatchewan Telecommunications Tariff Notices 389, 390, and 391 – Digital Network Access (DNA), Competitor Digital Network (CDN), and Inter-Office Digital Channels services – Amended applications
Dear Kevin Spelay:
The Commission received Tariff Notices 389, 390, and 391, dated 13 March 2026, from Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), in which SaskTel proposed to destandardize DS-0 and DS-1 speeds as part of SaskTel’s Digital Network Access (DNA), Competitor Digital Network (CDN), and Inter-Office Digital Channels services. Commission staff is treating the three applications together.
The Commission received an intervention regarding SaskTel’s applications from Rogers Communications Canada Inc. (Rogers). SaskTel filed a reply.
Under paragraph 38 of Approval processes for tariff applications and intercarrier agreements, Telecom Information Bulletin 2010-455-1, 19 February 2016, the Commission requires that a copy of the notice to affected customers of a requested destandardization must be included in destandardization applications. Following Commission staff’s request to SaskTel for these notices to be included in SaskTel’s applications, SaskTel subsequently filed amendments to its applications to include copies of the related notices it sent to affected customers (Tariff Notices 389/B, 390/A, and 391/B).
This letter is to notify interested parties that Commission staff has added this letter, the above-mentioned intervention from Rogers, SaskTel’s reply, and the associated amended applications to the records of the amended tariff notices.
The most recent amended application filing date is 30 June 2026. Interested parties may file interventions within 45 calendar days of that date, i.e. by 17 August 2026, and SaskTel may file
reply comments within 10 calendar days of the deadline for filing interventions. The applications will take effect as of the date of publication of the Commission’s related decision.
