Subject: Procedural request to extend the deadline for final replies on CTCC’s application updating the National Contribution Fund’s operating procedures
Dear Virginia Schweitzer,
On 10 June 2026, the Commission received a procedural request from the Canadian Telecommunications Contribution Consortium Inc. (CTCC) seeking an extension of the deadline to file the final reply on the intervention filed for the CTCC’s Application requesting an update to the National Contribution Fund’s operating procedures. The deadline for filing final replies was 4 June 2026; the CTCC filed its procedural request six days after that deadline.
Commission staff considers that granting the CTCC’s request is appropriate in the circumstances, even though the request was filed after the deadline. It would allow for a more fulsome record and could potentially assist the Commission in its determination of an appropriate repayment plan. Staff further considers that granting the request would not unduly prejudice any party or materially delay the proceeding.
Accordingly, by this letter, Commission staff extends the deadline for final reply to 15 June 2026. Commission staff reminds the CTCC that requests of this nature should be submitted before the applicable deadline to help ensure they can be considered in a timely manner.
