Subject: Requests for Information (“RFIs”) for Tariff Notices 599 & 663 – New Speed for Ethernet CO Connecting Link (“ECCL”) – Extension Request

On 5 April 2024 and 10 January 2025, TELUS Communications Inc. (TELUS) filed Tariff Notices (TNs) 599 and 663, respectively. Both TNs proposed changes to the Company’s tariff pages, primarily to introduce a new 10 Gbps speed for ECCL in its ILEC territories in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia (TN 599), and Québec (TN 663).

On 2 October 2025, Commission staff issued Request for Information (RFI) letters for both TN applications. On 16 October 2025, the Commission received a request from TELUS to extend the RFI response deadline from 24 October 2025 to 21 November 2025. TELUS stated that the requested four-week extension is required due to the extensive scope and concurrent timelines of both RFI letters, and the lack of costing staff resources due to a recent separate tariff application.

Commission staff recognizes the importance of efficient tariff proceedings to ensure the timely implementation of any changes. However, Commission staff also considers that the public record will benefit from TELUS’s fulsome response. Accordingly, Commission staff agrees that the extension request is acceptable in the circumstances and would not result in undue delay or prejudice.

Accordingly, the amended process and associated dates are as follows:

Sincerely,
