Subject: Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2025-272 – Procedural request for clarification dated 3 December 2025

Dear Monica Auer and Kimberly Wood,

Thank you for the letter dated 3 December 2025 filed on behalf of the Forum for Research and Policy in Communications and the letter of support dated 8 December 2025 filed on behalf of the Canada Deaf Grassroots Movement.

A decision on the proceeding initiated via Call for comments – A new approach to funding public interest participation in Commission proceedings (BTNC 2025-94), which is distinct from the present proceeding,Footnote 1 will be rendered at a later date, on the basis of the record of that proceeding.

As set out in BTNC 2025-94, in that proceeding, the Commission is looking at a number of potential options going forward when it comes to funding for public interest participation. While that proceeding may result in future adjustments to public interest funding processes used for Commission proceedings, Commission staff does not encourage parties to rely on any such potential future outcome with respect to costs incurred to participate in the present proceeding.

Yours sincerely,
