Ms. Agnes Augustin,

Thank you for your letter sent 14 August 2025 regarding the Shaw Rocket Fund’s commitment to establishing a dedicated permanent allocation of funding to official language minority communities (OLMCs) and producers from diverse communities.

I acknowledge the receipt of the documents you filed in response to Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2025-201 (the Decision). I note in particular your commitment to allocate 10 percent of overall revenues received from broadcasting distribution undertakings and online undertakings to this permanent envelope with equal portions dedicated to OLMC producers and producers from diverse communities.

Based on the commitments outlined in your letter, Commission staff is of the view that Shaw Rocket Fund has met the requirements set out in Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2025-201. Accordingly, the Fund will be added to the list of Certified Independent Production Funds (CIPFs) eligible to receive contributions from audio-visual online undertakings pursuant to the Contribution PolicyFootnote 1. This eligibility is effective as of the date of this letter.

Please note that this letter and all related correspondence will be posted on the Commission’s website to be available for public examination.

Yours sincerely,
