Subject: Commission approves extension for the submission of amended By-laws and Articles of Incorporation
Dear Robin Jackson,
Thank you for your application (Broadcasting Application 2024-0355-9) to expand the Broadcasting Participation Fund’s (BPF) mandate to enable public interest organizations to apply for costs in proceedings under the Online News Act. The Commission approved the request on 11 October 2025.
As a result, the Commission directed the BPF to make changes to its By-laws and Articles of Incorporation and share the updated documents with the Commission. On 6 December 2024, the BPF requested an extension to 28 February 2025, explaining that it needs additional time to complete the steps necessary to amend and file the documents with the Commission.
The Commission has reviewed the BPF’s request and grants the extension to 28 February 2025 to provide it the additional time needed to complete the steps and submit the amended By-laws and Articles of Incorporation.
