CHLP-FM Listowel – Change in ownership and effective control – Finalization of conditions of service

In this decision, the Commission finalizes the orders imposing conditions and expenditure requirements on FAB Broadcasting Corp. (FAB) for the English-language commercial FM radio programming undertaking operating the radio station CHLP-FM Listowel, Ontario.
In Broadcasting Decision 2025-306, the Commission approved an application by FAB to change the ownership and control of CHLP-FM Listowel. Following the transaction, London Publishing Corp. (London), FAB’s parent company, will acquire from GregRadio Corp. 47.4% of FAB’s shares. As a result, London would hold 94.8% of FAB’s shares and effectively control CHLP-FM. The Commission also proposed to make orders imposing on FAB various conditions and expenditure requirements, and in accordance with subsections 9.1(4) and 11.1(7) of the Broadcasting Act (the Act), invited interested persons to make representations on the proposed orders. The Commission did not receive any representations.
In light of the above, and pursuant to subsections 9.1(1) and 11.1(2) of the Act, the Commission makes the orders imposing on FAB Broadcasting Corp. the conditions and expenditure requirements for CHLP-FM Listowel set out in Appendix 2 to Broadcasting Decision 2025-306.
