Subject: Bravo Telecom – Part 1 application
On 6 November 2024, Bravo Telecom (Bravo) submitted a Part 1 application claiming Bell Canada (Bell) is engaged in anti-competitive acts and abuse of dominance related to wholesale high-speed access (HSA) services in the province of Quebec. Bell has submitted two procedural requests, first to close the file and return the application, and second to extend the period for interventions should the Commission dismiss the first request. In response to Bell, Bravo submitted two replies, first to state that its application should not be dismissed as it is a separate, independent action to examine Bell’s practices, and second to request that the Commission reject Bell’s request to extend the intervention period.
The intervention period for this application is currently open, however, Commission staff is awaiting an impending Commission decision on these procedural requests. As a result, Commission staff requests that parties refrain from filling additional procedural requests or correspondence until the Commission renders a decision. A Commission letter will be published outlining the decision to parties.
Yours sincerely,
