Subject: Review of the wholesale high-speed access service framework, Telecom Notice of Consultation 2023-56: Request for Information from Bell Canada and Telus – Procedural Request
In a letter dated 23 July 2024, the Commission requested information from Bell Canada and Telus Communications Inc. (Telus) with respect to usage of their temporary aggregated fibre-to-the premises (FTTP) services. Responses to these requests were received from Bell Canada and Telus on 30 July 2024. In a letter dated 7 August 2024, Bell Canada brought a procedural challenge against Telus’ response.
This letter is to clarify that responses to these requests for information did not inform Telecom Regulatory Policy 2024-180 – Competition in Canada’s Internet service markets, which was issued today.
Notwithstanding the above, Commission staff expects to deal with the associated procedural issues shortly.
