Subject: Request for information to the Canadian Numbering Administration Consortium regarding certain issues raised in the Bell Part 1 Application 8633-B2-202400323
At footnote 12 of its 14 March 2024 intervention on the record of this proceeding, the CNAC submitted that:
In 2022, the CNAC Fees of # TSPs increased with the lowest percentage increasing being #% and the largest being #%. Conversely, in 2022, the CNAC Fees of # TSPs decreased with the lowest percentage decrease being #% and the highest #%. While the reduction in mobile services revenue being reported was partially the cause, other factors also accounted for the CNAC Fee changes such as higher revenue/lower being reported by other TSPs and a large reduction of approx. $# million reported by a TSP which incorrectly included Internet service revenue in their revenue reported for CNAC purposes in 2021 (which resulted in a refiling their 2021 reporting worksheet).
To better assess the impacts on TSPs resulting from various wireless service providers reducing the revenue reported to CNAC in 2022, Commission staff requests that the CNAC, by 18 June 2024, provide the 2021 to 2022 increase and/or decrease experienced by each TSP referenced in the statement above, represented as a percentage and dollar value.
Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be received, not merely sent, by that date. Additionally, all submissions to the Commission must be filed via My CRTC Account, must refer to the file number noted above, and must be addressed to the Secretary General.
As set out in section 39 of the Telecommunications Act and in Procedures for filing confidential information and requesting its disclosure in Commission proceedings, Broadcasting and Telecom Information Bulletin 2010-961, as amended by Broadcasting and Telecom Information Bulletin 2010-961-1, persons may designate certain information as confidential. A person designating information as confidential must provide a detailed explanation of why the designated information is confidential and why its disclosure would not be in the public interest, including why the specific direct harm that would be likely to result from the disclosure would outweigh the public interest in disclosure. Furthermore, a person designating information as confidential must either file an abridged version of the document, omitting only the information designated as confidential, or provide reasons why an abridged version cannot be filed.
