Subject: Extension request to staff’s request for information - Part 1 Applications regarding Pre-Production Testing in Next Generation 9-1-1 Environment
On 1 May 2024, Commission staff issued a request for information (RFI) on matters regarding Pre-Production Testing in Next Generation 9-1-1 Environment. As part of the RFI, staff addressed specific questions in section 3 of the RFI to E-Comm 9-1-1 (E-Comm) and TELUS Communications Inc. (TELUS) concerning a specific matter that they had raised. E-Comm and TELUS were requested to respond to the questions applicable to each by 15 May 2024, serving a copy of their response on the other party. The two parties were also provided an opportunity to reply to each other’s response by 22 May 2024.
On 21 May 2024, TELUS communicated with staff via email indicating that E-Comm had not served its response onto TELUS and that TELUS only became aware of the response when it was posted to the CRTC’s website. As such, TELUS indicated that it would be in a position to file its reply on or before 28 May 2024.
In the interest of procedural fairness, staff is therefore revising the aforementioned reply deadline from 22 May 2024 to 31 May 2024.
Sincerely,
